I've tried keeping all kinds of electronic journals. I've kept journals on minicomputers, microcomputers, portable keyboards and every version of the Palm [...] It wasn't for lack of trying. I used all kinds of electronic methods and formats. [...] Eventually though I moved to a book-type work journal for several reasons:
1. I have more immediate access to the contents in meetings.
2. I can draw diagrams, system flows (pictures) AND write text on the same page.
3. I can write or draw in any direction on the page.
4. My drawings are easier to share with others on the team.
5. I never have to recharge it.
6. I can quickly scan weeks and months at a time, just by the flick of the wrist.

Making the transition back to paper from PDA is not the easiest one but it can be accomplished. I've found it to be very rewarding since I'm no longer worried about dropping, losing, charging, breaking, deleting, scratching, scuffing, upgrading, rebooting, or rewriting.
