Tracy's Illustrated Calendar Journals

For those bored with the garden variety, all-text diary consider Tracy's calendar journal pages.
A typical entry:
"June is one of our least busy months, but this calendar looks a lot more busy because I have time to work on it. I carved a baseball stamp to record when my son's baseball games are. .."
Every month for the past few years, I make a calendar in my journal. I add photos, rubber stamped images, price tags, ticket stubs, fortune cookie fortunes, stickers, and whatever ephemera that comes along. I write a line or 2 about what happened that day. There isn't room for much more than that. I never know what they will end up looking like when I start.
The calendar pages give context to the rest of my journal. Between the calendars are drawings, paintings, writings, book reviews, thoughts, recipes, photos, to-do lists, phone numbers, goals, memories...anything goes. I date all of my journal entries, so I can look at the calendar and see what else was going on that day.
This is the only calendar I use. I lightly write upcoming commitments in pencil and then erase them before I record
what happened on that day. I use Pilot G-2 pens and Canson 7" X 10" Field Drawing books with 90 lb. cream drawing paper.
