Free: "Start to Draw Your Life"

 

Michael Nobbs is sharing another free eBook, the latest version from the one he gave away earlier.

"Last year, as part of a DIY publishing experiment I released to little booklets, Start to Draw Your Life and 75 Ways to Draw More as free downloads to be printed out and made at home. The two books have been viewed over 30,000 times to date, which I find very exciting.

Today I’m releasing an updated version of both books as a combined free eBook to download. I’m hoping the eBook will encourage a whole bunch of new people to pick up a pen and start to draw their lives. I hope it will encourage you.."

Tyler C Hellard at Lo-Fi Hi-Fi Me has a confession to make:

"There are literally hundreds of note taking apps for the iPhone currently available. A few of them are really good, too. They offer an array of features, including voice notes, photo notes, wireless syncing, to-do lists, calendar integration and a million other things somebody somewhere has a need for. I’ve tried six of them, unsuccessfully, preferring instead to stick with an old fashioned paper and pen approach...."

What better company to feature on Earth Day than ecosystem. A snip from their "About" page:

How you should take pen to paper, and why

 

In this article published in the Providence Journal, Edward A. Iannuccilli, M.D., the author of “Growing Up Italian remembers how his lifelong love affair with writing began.

"I watched Sandra write. It was writing in rhythm. She concentrated with her tongue peeking out of the corner of her mouth (maybe that was the answer), starting with a low sweep with her arm resting on the desk, peaking to the top and then swooping downward to the bottom, barely bending her wrist. Her letters were angled with the same slope, tipping just enough to look like a young tree, never straight up, never leaning too far..."
