Faber Castell's 250th Anniversary Box Set

To mark the occasion of its 250th anniversary which will be celebrated in 2011, Faber-Castell invites all artists and lovers of graphic design tools to discover its arts products in a limited edition anniversary box. Available during the month of October, the box set is limited to 1761 copies, the number corresponding to the German company's date of creation.

The Sketchbook Project 2011 Tour

Art House Coop is now accepting entries to this year's Sketchbook Project.

"Thousands of sketchbooks will be exhibited at galleries and museums as they make their way on tour across the country.

After the tour, all sketchbooks will enter into the permanent collection of The Brooklyn Art Library, where they will be barcoded and available for the public to view.

Anyone - from anywhere in the world - can be a part of the project..."

About the notebook:

"Each artist is sent the same blank Moleskine sketchbook. We've only got two rules: first, the book must be used in some way - no sending us back an empty book or a completely different book! Second, the sketchbook must stay within its original dimensions (because we don't want to have to provide an extra suitcase just for your book while we're touring the country)..."

Meandered through the familiar alleys of Notebookland and checked out our old friend, Rhodia Drive.

Recent posts include the dotWebbie,  the notebook with a rather puzzling name, a vendor in Kent, UK where one can procure your supply of notebooks and a stray piece on the shekere, making for the usual eclectic mix.

Shoutout to my old friends at Kikkerland and their range of stationery including these notebooks.

WRITERSBLOK is a set of 3 notebooks from Kikkerland aimed at encouraging the activity of writing. Writing is good exercise for the mind, it helps you think, be more creative and it's fun! You can feel good using these notebooks because a percentage of sales from WRITERSBLOK goes to literacy-related programs around the USA.

I know these have been around for a while but this mark its first appearance here.
