Elegant and functional pencils at Found by James, an elegantly curated site of gadgets and curiosities from around the world.
"The area surrounding Arnold Circus, East London, is one of my favourite places in the city. Walking around this industrial neighbourhood - that not so long ago was completely written off, but has risen from the ashes as a breeding ground for creativity - really lifts my spirit....It was here that I met Mr. Alex Hulme. A gentleman with an open mind, with whom I seemed to share a sense of aesthetic. This became even more evident when I had to leave and he grabbed his pencil from his chest pocket to exchange details. A beautiful piece of functional design that he himself had created...."

I see a couple of problems with the pencil. First the clip design uses up a lot of space that could be put to use. Second the clip may break easily. A normal pencil with a faultless pencil clip attached would be a better solution. I would look at this pencil as a novelty item for pencil collectors. Thanks for sharing it.

What an unusual and beautiful pencil...do agree with Eric, perhaps not the most functional pencil you can come across, but I admit, I'd love to get my hands on one.

For those of us who adore pencils, this is so amazing. Convenience and an old-school look in one!

3 months this blog is dormant. again.
I'm sure you're busy. How about guest writers?
Just please don't sell it. Moleskinerie.com has sucked ever since it was sold, and it hasn't been the same since.
