University of Alaska Museum of the North recently celebrated the centennial of the first ascent of Mt. Denali with an exhibit that included notebooks used during the historic climb.
This first verifiable ascent to McKinley's summit was achieved on June 7, 1913 by climbers Hudson Stuck, Harry Karstens, Walter Harper, and Robert Tatum.
